Butthurt

One becomes butthurt when one has been (metaphorically... usually) violated intra rectum by someone, usually on teh internets. This can be caused by a forum post, the majority of a newsgroup failing to respect (IE conform to) your own opinions, a piece of art, or a webcomic that hits a little too close to home. The abiding pain from one's anus causes one to become surly, snappish, and frothy-at-the-mouth whenever the subject is brought up (or even if it isn't).

Please note that being butthurt by someone or something is not the same as being annoyed with, angry with, or lulzing at them or it. It is possible to have dignity and a sense of humor during all of the latter. The butthurt are never funny, their pain is Serious Business. Thus, even if someone is otherwise exceptionally lame and stupid and most of the rest of teh interbutts is just laughing at them or rolling their eyes, it is still quite possible to be a butthurt little faggot over them.

The only cure for butthurt is to realize that it's not really that big of a deal and just grow up and get over it. Thus very few cases ever clear up.
